Umbrella Theory

Another experiment using print on canvas. Still might be working on the angels themselves. The simplicity is really nice. Concept stems of a religious standpoint and the distraction of all things holy via mobile technology... i guess.
This was the result of the creation of man and although it isn't finished, I will be starting a new version of this- so yea, it's a back burner experiment. Still the same concept of wave of technology overtaking the natural which isn't as natural as originally believe.
I just really wanted to work with deep perspective with a slight fish-eye. Again, an experiment of material (Akua ink on fabric). Pretty much finished.
I don't know where I'm going with this. Maybe to the moon says Nora.
Playing with water soluble wax crayons.

Political talk about bottled water, the mass production of it, the lies... still working on it.

Another political talk about water bottles, mass production, recycled lies. Technology and environment.
There is so much meaning and so much character that can be read through this painting that I just wish to highlight the main ideas that helped me bring this painting to life. The idea of human interaction with technology (present and possible future interactions), is what gave this painting form.  The QR code (that seems to have its own mind of when to work), is a nod to a break in communication and denial of the instant gratification that we as a society have grown spoiled to. Together with the peaceful figure (which is hilarious when in front of an impatient person), creates a question of who is in control: the figure is having the dream which is hidden behind the digital code that our evolving society is growing accustomed to, or the code is creating the figure- for machines have finally found a way to dream and are creating the pathways to our future.

And it will all come together in my Umbrella Theory: Technology, the Environment, and the social interactions of both.

THE END :)
