Ryan, looks like you have a good start... Why not put yourself out on the ledge so to speak and keep adding textures, colors, forms... See what comes and keep doing it until it feels finished.
As I said to you, if you really like it but don't know what to do, put it aside and start working on something. Keep looking at it. Eventually, you'll know. Either you'll decide it is finished or it needs something more. The big question, it seems to me, is whether you are comfortable with the abstract simplicity of this or not.

ReplyDeleteI know you have done beautiful figure paintings. As far as this painting goes, you are the abstract guy, it is time for you to take pride in it.
